How Commute Rewards Work

You can get rewarded for switching from driving alone! The program can pay you up to $100 if you are currently driving alone and you switch to any of these modes of commuting: carpool, vanpool, public transit, biking, walking, telecommuting.

To be eligible, you must be currently driving alone, and you have never participated in this program before. You also must live and work in our service area.

Step by step...

  1. Register for the program.
Fill out the on line form, sign it and get your supervisor's signature, and send it in.
  2. Report your commutes.
Use our commute calendar to report your commutes for a 90 day period.
  3. Submit your reward request.
At the end of the 90 days, if you have commuted at least 13 days, you may request your reward. (You'll be prompted on the commute calendar page.) The request form requires your signature and your supervisor's.
  4. Get your reward.
Our staff will check your request when we receive it, and if approved, you'll receive a gift card for up to $100 - $3 a day for each day you didn't drive alone.
  5. Don't stop there!
Continue to report your commutes - every time you don't drive alone, you're entered in our monthly prize drawing, even after your participation in the Commute Rewards program.

Why do we offer this incentive?

It helps you by reducing the cost and stress of getting to work. It helps the community by reducing air pollution and traffic congestion. It's a win for everyone!

Note: The program metrics such as the number of days, the program length and the reward amounts are configurable in the Commuter Connect software.
